    Tough aren't they?

Decided to throw away my original Z-One which I was never entirely sure had
hit the ground but didn't use after my off in '02 - it going mouldy kind of
    made it necessary.

Still, decided to try beat it up a bit so no one would be tempted to use
it - a 10 minute assualt with hammer & pry bar resulted in rather
    disappointing results.

I managed to hole it with the pry bar quite nicely, but it still didn't go
all the way through - and the hammer just created cracks in the shell.

I'm quite pleased to know that I can get a whack to the head with a pry bar
    and potentially be okay :)

Yep, When I replaced a 5 YO Arai I wanted to see how tough it was so I
gave it a few whacks with a long handled axe. Three swings before it
    went through.

  3. Last helmet I destroyed by throwing it on the living room fire, set fire
to the chimney. A hardy fucker, indeed.

Nice thought, but as I mentioned in the OP - it was mouldy.

And by mouldy I mean the padding was green, smelt very off and just wasn't
something you'd want to touch if you could help it.

  7. Certainly made an impressive blaze. 'Twas only a passing stranger
knocking on the door to inform me I had a chimney fire that clued me up.
