or maybe the tyre is more dry tarmac biased? -- Gavsta. GSXR600K1 Z750 Race Bike. R6 Endurance bike (2003 Restricted class Endurance Winners. Team NFG). Take out your bollocks to reply!
You had warmed them up of course? and with so much fine weather, when it does rain the roads have been lethal.
Just got back from up north (Rugby) and I think the ride qualified as a "wet" one, both ways, pretty torrential. I had no problem with the tires, filtering at 155 mph, backing it in and kneedown antics, couple of 180 mph stoppies and a 45 mile wheelie. I suppose the M1 doesn't count as a testing ground though.
Am I a **** or what? Replying to *two* of yr old posts on my return! Anyway... Standard Diablos are fucking shite in the wet too. The Daytona's luvverly on em in the dry, but 3mg of moisture in the air and the rear spins up on white lines at quarter throttle and it gets scary. That said, at least you feel it coming. Unlike with Michelin Pilots which do the same but scarier and with no blimmin warning at all... Dave
