One servo, one mounting plate, one bearing and a heading lock gyro from your
local RC shop and you could have one of your own on the fuel tank in 10
    minutes.

  4. Yeah, but thinking of doing it is the case.

The first onboard racecams were developed by Channel 7 in Australia in
the 80s. I was working for them at the time and incar shots at
Bathurst 1000 were mind blowing at the time. CH 7 held on to the
technology at the time and wouldn't release it to anyone else. But
once other companies realised it could be done, they created their own
versions. It has now spread around the world. It's not that it is hard
to do, it just thinking of doing it in the first place. But the gyro
camera will become pretty commonplace I reckon.
