Diesel Oil

    Can someone explain this to me simply:

    I've noticed Halfords car oil meets the diesel standards and vice
    versa, so are we seeing Diesel and Petrol oils converging?

    The article is 11 years old. If you haven't worked it out by now...
    I assume you mean four stroke petrol engine oil?
    don't cars have diesel engines too?
    Oils meeting diesel and petrol engine specs are hardly new fangled. They've
    been around for, let's see, 11 years or more. Get yourself up to date by
