Divide and Conquer

    I thought it was just the small-minded owners of Brand X who needed to
    diss Brand Y, but today I rode past a Harley dealer across from MCRD
    and there was a banner proclaiming "Hondas Suck".

    Can't we all just get along?

    Ok ... look. You are screwing up.
    Try this. Have a pint of motor oil in your jacket. Pull up directly in
    front of the HD shops front door on yer Honda, gun the motor a few times
    before you shut it off. Get off the bike real slowly. then slowly take out
    your pint of oil and pour it on the ground under the engine cases.

    They will rush out and ask you what the hell is going on.... then you can
    tell them you were just trying to fit in.

    It looked like one, but I was just driving by and may have missed some
    details. Perhaps they were just selling Harley accessories.

    I flew down from SFO with about a dozen new recruits a couple of
    months ago. From what they told me, that's still the way the place is
    run. The only activity permitted off base is church.

    This makes me wonder why the Corps is so keen on keeping the base
    open. If they were to give it up, Lindbergh Field to be expanded to
    meet the next 30 years' needs, and if they are going to isolate the
    recruits from the local cultural opportunities, they could achieve
    their mission just as well in a more remote and less valuable
    location.
