Has anyone ever bought anything off them? Good/bad service?

The Divvy needs a new battery and they're amongst the cheapest.

Yup. Just the one experience. Maxxis tyres. No problems at all.

Beware of cheap batteries, they seldom last very long.
    Stick to Varta or Yuasu.

Varta are cheap batteries with a big price tag. Yuasa are worth the
    money.

Pip and I usually buy batteries made by Easystart and they are the
cheapest batteries we've found. The name is shit, the price suggests
the battery is shit, but the one fitted to Pip's 1200 Bandit is over 3
years old, was idle for 2 years of that and was revived in one night by
a C-Tek charger and is still in use. The one fitted to the SpazzTrakka
was fitted for 3 years, rarely used and as far as I'm aware still works
fine, the one fitted to my CBR gets used very infrequently, has been on
the bike nearly four years and will start the bike first press of the
button if I go out and try right now. So, in short, you're talking
    bollocks yet again.

The one battery make to avoid is Blue Label because you'll be lucky to
get a year's use from one. Rob Hunter batteries are ok, not the longest
lasting but reasonable value for money.

Varta are shit these days ime[1]. I'd stick with Yuasa, Westco or
    Odyssey.

[1] One in the Corvette lasted fewless than two years, one in the MV
    fewless than three.

I've had an Odyssey on the R-GS since 2005. doesn't seem to mind being
layed up for several months, such as when I fucked my knee. Quick blast on
the optimate to top it up as the LCD clock runs it down eventually.

The Numax jobbies sold by http://www.tayna.co.uk/ seem to have a following
as well. I see Tayna are still selling Varta so they can't be that bad.
They'd soon ditch something with high returns.

http://www.dkmotorcycles.co.uk is theirs as well, but contains different
    stuff

Local to me and I've used them on and off for over 20 years, anything from
oil up to my old FJ1200. Massive used collection as well, the showroom is
enormous (website says 1,500+ bikes). Never used them mail order though, so
can't comment on that side of things.

If you're local enough to collect, then Bassetts [1] are good. Can't find a
website for them so don't know about mail order, but they are here:

    12 Howard Place
    Stoke-on-Trent
    ST1 4NQ

    Very friendly and knowledgeable.

[1] which incidentally is the place my son [2] found his CG125 the other day
(they don't sell bikes, but there are a few in the shop being sold
    privately).

[2] 17 on Tuesday, and he's all ready to go

it's got a Yuasa fitted atm, been in about two years. Yesterday it
wouldn't turn the engine, the lights were dim and the horn sounded
pathetic. Charged it overnight and refitted it this morning. The lights
and horn were back to normal and the engine turned but the battery died
    very quickly.
    Cheers.

I got 5 years from a Rob Hunter on the Guzzi, but it's a huge battery.

Although the 6v MZ one has just been recovered and that's also nearly 5
years old and not been used for a year or so.

Sounds ok, I'm sure you will have done the price comparisions :)

FWIW, I also got my Aprilia Rad off them recently, cheaper than other
places (inc delivery) and arrived in the time scale quoted.

Got my R6 from them, got the free 1st service there and some warranty
work that wasn't done well, wouldn't go there for spanner jobs.

Though last time I went they were suffering, from a showroom of bikes
bar-to-bar, it's very spread out now. The MX dept. has gone too I
think. Doing a l ot of ebay breaking sales I think, back to their
    roots before ebay.
I'd second Bassetts. Been around for ages, good people, knowledgeable
    and decent stock.
