Yep, I hadn't read it all. Fair comment.

RM suggested the blueknights were twats, I said they weren't all bad,
you countered with their stance on bike legislation. Given they're
against it, the implication was either that you're for it or you're
    trolling.

New Zealand has a learner license from the age of 15.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Driver_licensing_in_New_Zealand

The minimum possible age to gain a full licence is sixteen and a half.

All this nanny state stuff is starting to become a little weary. What
happened to personal transport for the masses ?

    This was my K1100LT
    www.photobox.co.uk/my/album/share?album_id=21052643
It was ex-plod and yes I meant it to look like it at a slight distance on
m-ways. Had a white Cromwell full face lid at the time. I didn't wear a
    dayglo jacket.

It certainly had the desired effect particularly WRT moving dawdling cunts
    out of lane 3.

I pulled into the Services near the M6/M74 transition one day, having given
a vehicle a hard time to move over a few miles before. I was sitting at the
window with a brew and they pulled into the car park. I watched two blokes
clock the bike and walk over to it. One of them pointed to the instruments,
they made affirmative gestures and moved on. The backplate of the speedo
still bore the moniker "Smith Calibrated Speedo". It also had electrical
connections sprouting from the tank/seat area which also looked "suspicious"
although they were only Gerbing power feeds.

I did toy with the wheeze of putting a camera behind the screen but that's
getting too close to fluoro jackets and POLITE notices.
