Does anybody fancy a warm winter holiday in Barcelona? May be not.

I pay £57 for an annual service to the original fitter. It's been the same
price for the 6 years it has been fitted. As you say they don't do much
apart from hoover the crud from inside & stick a meter of some sort up the
flue. I see it as a good way to keep a relationship established with a
local firm so that when it needs fixing I can ring up and ask Rob or Gareth
    to sort it out.

Make sure you keep it topped up with inhibitor then

each time it leaks and you refill it, you're diluting the inhibitor AND
introducing more limescale into the primary circuit

he rents, I don't suppose he GAF.

If it was here I'd be looking for the leak or wonky pressure valve.

Rented house. I'll warn the landlady and hopefully the plumber will
have to come sort it again.

  6. Not snow, but just as summer finished here we copped this
    http://tinyurl.com/wetmelb

Hailstones 10cm across, I thought the roof at home was going to
    collapse.

I've lived in tropical zones, lived in Newscastle Upon Tyne and
Blackpool and have experienced North Atlantic mid-winter storms, but
fuckn have never experienced anything like what hit us on Saturday.

And official Met reports state that nothing on records has ever hit
    Melbourne since they started records.

Trying to cross the city that night was crazy. If it hadn't been my
flatmate's birthday I would not even attempted.

The main shot there is at Flinders St which alongside the Yarra River.
To give it a British perspective, it would be like being alongside the
    Thames near Tower Bridge.

In half an hour there was $200million damage done, although they
    expect that figure to rise.

    It was interesting . . .

  7. Pftt. It is bloody handy for organising gigs, so get over it.

I was wondering whether it would display it without you having to be a
friend though? If not, I'll create a direct link.

  9. That's my take on it too. FWIW, it's the same firm that installed it, in
    1997.

Can't open the link, but it doesn't sound as bad as the one in Munich.

Blimey, 1984. 1.5 billion euro of damage. I was there not long
afterwards - dimpled cars a plenty.
