They stick poles in the most rididulous places. You claimed one and my missus claimed one, and only a week or two before that, some bloke on an R1 claimed the same post as the wife. It cost him a leg though. You'd think by now the poles would've learned to lean out of the fucking way, wouldn't you? -- Beav VN 750 Zed 1000 OMF# 19
Damn, they've fucked up the link url:http://www.motogp.com/en/news/2008/Lorenzo+sustains+foot+injuries+in+Californian+crash opens a wrong page. -- Dave GS850x2 XS650 SE6a "It's a moron working with power tools. How much more suspenseful can you get?" - House
<snip rather worrying attempts to fly without the aid of feathers> Do we have UKRM numbers for people who were actually, how shall we say, snuffed it at the scene. 'Cos I reckon it's a bloody elite club if you get to write it up afterwards. Bit like VCs, posthumous is all right, but getting to wear it is better. Any other UKRMers had this happen, for any reason? BAD# - Binned and Died? DAS# - Dead At Scene?
I'm a bit of an oldbie around here nowadays, and, afaik, no UKRM regulars have died on motorcycles. -- Champ ZX10R | GPz750turbo | GSX-R 600 racer My advice as your attorney is to buy a motorcycle To email me, neal at my domain should work.
You should hear his tales of his trip across Africa on a GS. I always planned on following in his footsteps one day, but Long Way Down & Dreaming of Jupiter have done a good job of quelching that urge. It's tempting to say why not go for it, but with the mindset that you're just going to tick it off rather than trophy hunt (i.e. ride at 7/10ths). It's not like you've got anything to prove when it comes to your speed. I guess that's not an option though, & even if it was, the nearest & dearest would never fall for it... I'd be frankly amazed if you didn't tbh. -- Krusty www.MuddyStuff.co.uk Off-Road Classifieds '02 MV Senna '03 Tiger 955i '96 Tiger '79 Fantic Hiro 250
Not for want of trying though! So you will get the #1, when somebody works out what it is. Summat to tell the kids though, "I remember when I died in a motorbike crash, kids today, they got it easy!".

And now, to be honest, that moment has already passed, as I'll be surprised if I'm as fast as I was. I've always been lucky to have a fairly poor resistence to concussion, such that I have no memory of every serious accident I've ever had. Sheesh. You're a fucking amateur. When was the last time you were even in hospital, eh? By 'regular', I meant someone whose name would be recognised by other regulars. By which I mean me, of course. -- Champ ZX10R | GPz750turbo | GSX-R 600 racer My advice as your attorney is to buy a motorcycle To email me, neal at my domain should work.

Lol! Thats a good idea, or just 'Immortal#', course, you don't get to keep the number forever, just until you 'stop posting' >

I was resuscitated twice, once at the scene and once in the ambulance when I was 19, but that was a long time before anyone had heard of the interweb thingy.
You won't know untill you stradle a bike... Good luck with it...If anyone can conquer that, I'm sure it will be you... You have character, it will serve you well...
