doing homework

hyaz guys.. as you know am looking to get into biking again..
and weighing up costs..

how much is comprehensive insurance these days for say a
2000 model zx6r, for a 31 year old, with no prior accidents ?

for bikes do they still not care about what mods you do ?
for example basic exhaust, k&n, and a chip remap..
maybe with different sized sprockets ?

whats the cheapest insurance place for bikes..
and then whats the best one ?

Tried ringing an insurance company & asking ? Man anyone ever tried to
commit suicide beside you on an international 12 hour flight ?

 

www.nrma.com.au will do online quotes that can give you some sort of an idea
of different bikes

then you can try other companies to get cheaper quotes but at least the NRMA
site will give you an idea of the difference between different bikes and
somewhere to start

 

hiaz.. yes tried nrma.. came back with 1200 or so..

reason i ask.. for example for my car.. nrma comes back with about 7k..
most insurers will not insure it because of the mods, but there is a car
insurance company that will do it for $1300.. so a big difference.. (all
the sports car guys, and groups know of these companies, as they dont
advertise )

i am assuming the same thing is the case for bikes these days.. nrma quoted
1200, but i figure there is a particuler company that guys go with that is
very
great in price and service... ??? if its the same sort of thing as the
cars, i am guessing there should be a descent company that will insure for
hmm <500 ?

i see lots of ads from qbe in bike magz.. however there is no online quote ?
