A final decision on whether or not to go is being made at about 9am
tomorrow. So far we have Adie, myself and Champ as possibles. Any sign
of rain will have me watching from home and drinking beer all day.

Any non-cunts going who want to meet up?

Not me, I'll be watching from home either way, then if it's dry after
the racing I'll go for a play in the opposite direction to where all the
    traffic officers will be working.

Second instalment of paddling up Prescott for me. Champ missed my second
run on a pissing wet track (with additional colourful rainbow hues on
the approach to the start line courtesy of the Velo brigade) today when
I was fastest road legal bike, on that particular run anyway (quicker
even than the R1 or Harley Gyp!). This was mainly because most people
were doing very little more than putting in their statutory second
practice run adopting a 'just get to the top' strategy. Much debate
followed as to whether simply breaking the beam then asking for a 'five'
as in trials would be allowed.

Andy Bonwick banged the rocks together and they said :
Myself, Jackie and Vass are going tomorrow.

Give me a ring if/when you get there. We should be at or near the Old
    Hairpin.

Not a very good forecast. Light showers for the first run and light rain
by the second by the look of it. So no records in danger, but a couple
of fast boys on Aprilia SXV550s look as if they are trying according to
    Gyp.

Despite the weather it was a top day. I was surprised by the consistent
"fast in, all over the place out" cornering style of a large number of
the bikes, though the chap on the KTM that went like stink and kept it
sideways almost everywhere was a joy to behold.

The Audi Quattros were incredible, but the highlight was probably the
Hillman Hunter that went off right off right on cue just before the
    finish line.

  8. I should be approaching Terminal 4 at the time of the off -- from
    the wrong direction!

Well, it's rained overnight and now there's standing water on the roads,
    with occasional light showers.

I can't see it being bad enough to stop racing, but they'll probably be
on inters given the variable conditions.

It pissed with rain here so tv coverage was favoured over paying £60
    to get soaked.
Perhaps you should nip over and give them a bit of inside information.

I've been posting it'll be a wet race all week, how much more
    information do they need, FFS?

Anyway, it'll be nice to see a Kawasaki on the podium, and I suspect we
might even see an American in the mud. [1]

    [1] There's my prediction.

  19. They are scary bags of shite when under power in the sort of conditions
you describe. Down to crap design of the front suspension, imo, which
exhibited a peculiar tuck-under feeling under moderately hard cornering
and braking. The most powerful one I drove had the Holbay 120 lump,
which was right on the limits of what you'd want to put in one. I nearly
lost one in the dry when braking hard - fecking thing was all over the
road and I'm only glad the rain wasn't on.

Iow, barrels of shite. A decent Escort or Avenger of the day ran rings
    round them.

  20. There's some crap photo's at :

    http://s56.photobucket.com/albums/g195/dwbrown/Prescott June 07/

I'll upload the rest when I've got some spare time.

I did drop by the paddock, but apparently you were asleep in the car
    (alledgedly) ;-)

Nice day though, didn't get to wet, enjoyed the bikes and the cars, the big
audi turbo saloon sounded rather wow.

Some nice riding by the chaps on the crossers as well.
