Oh, no, not at all[1]. I've not met the guy in person yet, tho' I hear that talk was pretty good. Someone mentioned once seeing him at the CERN restaurant (a massively overcrowded place) and nearly not recognising him, because he wasn't surrounded by a TV crew... [1] The rivalry is by design. Two teams with slightly different technology, slightly different approaches. Both should be successful, but if one screws up the other one gets it. The chances of _both_ screwing up are much less.
