Dream Garage?

Discussion in 'Texas Bikers' started by Albert Nurick, Oct 15, 2003.

  1. If you could have any three bikes in your garage, regardless of price, what
    would they be?

    My choices:

    Yamaha FJR1300/ABS
    Honda Rune
    BMW K1200LT

That would take a big garage! I agree with the BMW choice 100%, but I'd
    add a little variety, a dual-sport like a KLR650 or Suzuki 400, and a
Ducati Monster just for the looks.

Not counting my own bike (which would otherwise definately be there):
    1. Vincent Black Shadow (or a Norton Commando, if no Vincent)
    2. McIntyre Y2K
    3. Britten Aero D-One
    4. Spagthorpe Rottweiler

I saw one at H&W in Marshall. For the asking price, I wasn't at all
impressed with the Rune. This is one of those times where I thought it
looks better in pictures than in person. Nice chrome football though. ;-)

Only THREE? That is a tough choice......

OK, but from a NON collectors perspective (in other words, I'm
considering that I can always upgrade or swap out the bikes and I am
not looking to keep them original and try to sell them for a profit at
    some point):

    Yamaha FJR1300 - for touring.

A toss-up between the new Aprilia RSV-Factory, the new R1, and the new
CBR1000RR. - For fun! (but I'd probably go with the 'Priller)

And one of the newer 4-stroke dirt bikes like a Honda XR400. - Also
    for fun!

Strange - I've wanted an HD all my life and it didn't make the list.

Dont' mean to dog you, but that is FIVE bikes....not three. Rules
were THREE bikes, and we are sticking to the RULES, DAMMIT!

Bill, I know that relative to you we are all YUPs, but truely I am not "Y"
    enough to be a YUP.
Nor "R" enough to be a RUB.
I think of myself more of a GOB (Geek On Bike).
