You had one of those? Sad git that I was, I lusted after one. When I
    had 741 CZ twin.

On mine the clutch worked both up and downshifting.

Same thing I figured. They sometimes get a will of their own to charge
    off into the scenery.

It's just until a twist and go R1 comes along at the right price.

That could be the future of motorcycling - automatic gearbox, traction
    control,
wheelie control, ABS. The technology is all available.
Unfortunately the technology is also available to limit your speed or
acceleration at the whim of the government.

It'll just be a software fix, that's all. If it can be limited, it will
    be unlimited.

I've never guided / ushered / piloted / hearded or driven an outfit. So
I'll take your work for it. :)

Last time I looked, a FJ1300 had a clutch. Mana? Sounds like something
you get in a board game.

An outfit is sounding more like a cow fitted with a saddle.

It worked well enough that it was a standard "feature" of a few bikes in the
    dim and distant.

No dissenting voices from the Felicity Kendal camp?
Then we can consider the motion carried.

That must be wrong since it implies a level of control not normally
    seen with outfits.

Hang on a minute! Felicity did things to a woolly pully that even into
todays liberal age should have been banned. She is a goddess!

So the bint on the back was Audrey Hepburn I guess. Very wankworthy.

  19. I have a similar niggle in spanish.

To drive = "conducir" (conduct, if you like)

That applies to any vehicle, although quite often they say "circular" -
    to circulate.

To ride is "cabalgar", but noone says that.

Everyone says "montar" (to mount) which to me sounds daft.

"Today I was mounting along on my motorcycle..."

Just can't bring myself to say it.
