I could never understand why Ducati let Rueben Xaus take points from Bayliss
in 2002 and after he ultimately cost Bayliss the championship (both
indirectly by taking points and directly by ramming him and causing his
finger-amputation) I never thought they'd allow it to happen again but ****
me if they weren't all cheering Fabrizio on as he took 5 points from Haga's
    8-point championship lead over Spies!
Or is an Italian win in Italy more important than the championship?

  2. No team orders....All power to them for that. Truly sporting, let the best
man on the day win and be dammed

Makes me proud to own a small part of the heritage. Ducati is most
certainly a company filled with passionate
people. In the cold hard world of commerce this can be a double edged
sword, but what is a world without passion?

The world in general and motorcycle enthusiasts in particular are all the
richer because of Ducati and company's of their ilk.

Absolutely, definitely, completely agree on this point.
Ducati kept World Supers alive when the Japs tried hard to kill it off and
they continue to punch well above their weight in every racing championship
    blessed by their participation.
All the more reason (in my opinion) they should get the friggin' title!!

  4. Chicken and egg there, Clem... if Ducati didn't develop the influence
over WSB management they did, who's to say how the Japanese level of
support for the championship would've panned out.

Pfft; the Japs NEVER showed any support in the series!
Two works bikes from Yamaha most years and one or two works bikes from
Honda, Suzuki and Kawasaki some years.
Ducati only got "influence" because they were supplying all the rest
of the bikes on the grid. (although Kawasaki and to lesser extent
Suzuki deserve kudos for maintaining at least a token effort when
    Honda led the Japanese pull-out).
Honda whinged about the engine parity then finally made a 1000 V-twin
and won two of the three years it contested (as well as became an
instant world-wide best-seller) and STILL they pulled out!
Even when the rules were changed to 1000cc-fours to make it easy for
them the Japs still only put in half-arsed efforts.
Naah; the Japs just want 1 "premium" championship and that's MotoGP.
Sure they want the Superbike and Supersport bikes; but they want them
running under the MotoGP banner (and it's only persistant threats of
legal action that have prevented them from doing it already)

World Supers wouldn't last 2 seasons with only Japanese support.

  6. Well said!

Re last nights SBK race, firstly and THE main thing is hahahahahaonda
cannot win any Championship, same as in the MotoGP...........P R I C E
    L E S S!!!

Anyway, i would not put it past Spies to win both races next round and
for Haga to finish 2nd in both, and equal points Spies with more wins
would be champion, i would have to say worthy too.

Wonder how DucatiCorse feel now that those few points that Fabrizio
took off Haga could well cost him the Championship as per your expert
    comments Clem.

Still, constructors Championship is in the bag!

As for MotoGP, well done Casey, shut all them fuckwits up, a superb
ride, Rossi looks unsettled but shouls be ok.

    FINALLY:

"we dont need him to win" & "we will destroy him" WHEN?WHEN?WHEN?
    EAT SHIT HRC

    Another Championship LOST P R I C E L E S S ...hahahahahahahaonda

Well **** me if it hasn't happened again! Haga is up for the
championship and Haga is in second place but again Fabrizio
inexplicably takes the win (sorry Betty); denying Haga the 5 points.
Haga loses by 6 points after Biaggi runs off and Spies overtakes him.
That's 2003 (Xaus fucking up Bayliss) and 2009 that Ducati have given
    away now.
