Received a letter from Ducati inviting me to a Promo day at Silverstone.
Selling their wares to me no doubt and with a range of Ducati focussed trade
    stands.

The track is open and one can indulge in a sesh. There will be a seperate
    Parade Lap behind safety cars.

All well and good, but hold on there seems to be a catch. They want ME to
pay £495 for the pleasure of being sold to and a part track day. And they
want ME to pay another £100 to join a Parade Lap.

    <shakes head>

Might have more luck just calling me and trying to sell Glencore shares or
    Herbalife

    Fucking idiots.

  2. I can only agree. If that price included two nights in a hotel, meals
and wine included, it just *might* be worth it.

For £149 you can do a full trackday at Silverstone. On Easter Monday.

Looks like there's still places (just), and Nige *might* have room in a
van down from the frozen North.

Well, it's a full weekend and not a single day.

And given a single trackday at Silverstone costs £150, 2 days of
California Superbike School, all meals, and the rest of the Ducati
pretentious wank, it doesn't seem too bad a price.

The parade lap is taking the mick though. £100 to sit in a traffic
jam being blasted in the face by someone's open Termigonis.

And a guest has to pay 50 fucking quid to come and just watch other
over-moneyed idiots circulate slowly round the circuit. That's more
expensive than a full day's spectating at a MotoGP or WSB event. Anyone
who attends is a ****, simple as.

I just can't figure the angle, why would anyone.
If the whole shebang was free (bar the track day) I'd think twice about
    wasting a weekend
