I dunno, the kwaka is doing pretty well even in the dry now, if they can
keep developing it he might have a fighting chance of a podium or 3
(assuming he has the talent - which he does seem to have on the facts
    available).

he was offering the higher homologation nmumber to make it fairer !

he would be much better off on the Ex Curtain bike than the
possibility of a something with the Kawa.. I see it harder now for
Curtain to come back and keep his ride.. he without doubt has the
talent, but is old, and West is making it look easy.. lets see West
after another 2-3 rounds of the class this yr before makin a real
    decision on him...

Hmm the MGS is a 1200 too isn't it ? That'd be cool for someone to
    race one of those

They are already on tracks in the US, I dunno they've sold enough to race
    them in WSBK though.

Won the Battle of the Twins at Daytona last year and this year,
although I believe the only construction rules are "two cylinders and
    two wheels" unlike SBK.

has some specs. The 2007 winner is water cooled and puts
out 167 horses which ain't too shabby, but most of it is aftermarket
    rather than factory.

Lets not forget how this all came about.
Ducati said `make it legal for twins to be 1200CC or we`ll quit WSB`

Will Honda revive the SP brand with a 1200CC SP3 ???
    We can only hope....

If you read the rules, the twins have 200cc more yet carry more weight
and have restrictors fitted in the intake, they gave up more but
*should* still be competive as they are smarter than the Jappers

Yeap, and the fact that Ducati are currently racing a bike they have
not built for near 12 months,

Kool, hope they all beat V Twins, then Ducati can smash they to pieces
as they have with its 4 cyl .in MotoGP

    BRING THEM ON!

Honda built the SP series and John Kosinski won the WSB championship on
it. The Jap manufacturers were also building 1000cc 4s and racing them
in formula extreme racing. Pretty much every domestic top level
championship started racing 1000cc 4s. WSB fell into line and allowed 1k
    4s, but heavily restricted.

    Something like that anyway...

    WSB, because they have to.

Remember, it isn't actually a sport of motorcycle racing anymore, it is
now a big dollar "entertainment" with heavy advertising overtones.

....and will they then make just enough road-bikes to make it legal but not
care if the road bikes don't run properly and discount the crap out of them
to devalue everyone's purchases and then drop the model when they don't need
    it any more?
We can pretty-much bet the house on it!!

    ha !!

And you call yourselves racefans !!!

I must have been tired yesterday...Kocinski won the title on the RC45 (1997)
Edwards won the title on the RC-51 (SP) twice :) (2000 & 2002)

I noticed it, but you disclaimed with "something like that anyway" and
given who the rider was wasn't the point of the post I didn't feel
    like being pedantic

and besides; you (Biggus) were talking about 750cc fours so you obviously
weren't referring to the RC51 twin.
