    At last.

Took 4 attempts before they brought it back, but it's been stored inside
and looks just as it was when it was taken.

Battery is flat, so that's being charged overnight so I can fire it up
    in the morning.

The Gwent Police Authority and my MP have been informed, so we'll see
    what comes from that.

That has crossed my mind. But I want to make them squirm a little for
    all the hassle they've caused.

  4. When I had cause to give the police grief over some very dodgy policing,
the local copper (good guy) came to tell me they would be trying to get
their own back (one particular officer) by trying to catch me speeding
on my FJ12 or coming back from the pub in the car.

    This was in Kent.

Full tale told on here somewhere.

Well TBF Plod is just human and I'm sure I'd do the same.

Erm, bollocks. Plod may be human, but he's supposed to be
professional. If he can't remove certain emotions from the job, then
    he shouldn't be doing it.

And by God, have Labour created them. (I searched for the Beeb URL
about how many bloody laws the Labour Party had invented and it was
    quite staggering).

    Well indeedy!

Systems that are designed to work on the premise that large numbers of
people can be employed as automatons and should forget their own humanity
    are shirly flawed?
If you put people in positions where they have some power and influence they
will always use it themselves in one way or another. Everyone from
politicians to policemen to ministers of the kirk to computer programmers.
    ..
Realising that plod is human and flawed is a requirement of dealing
    successfully with them.

  18. Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, Cab
Clearly not. I was particularly tickled that there now appears to be a
specific offence of "Creating a nuclear explosion".

You *might* have thought that was already a bit naughty, but clearly it
needed a new law passing to bring the point home.

And it's worked! There have been no nuclear explosions within the UK
    since the law was passed.

    Well done them.

That's not strictly true. I have created at least one this afternoon,
and had to open a window afterwards.

    No curry for me tonight.
