Clearly not. I was particularly tickled that there now appears to be a specific offence of "Creating a nuclear explosion". You *might* have thought that was already a bit naughty, but clearly it needed a new law passing to bring the point home. And it's worked! There have been no nuclear explosions within the UK since the law was passed. Well done them.
Heheh. Whilst this isn't the link I saw, it's pretty close: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7838300.stm If you click on: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/8473763.stm Straw does try to defend some of the laws, which okay, seem reasonable excuses. But, FFS, not diving on the Titanic for example. Well, actually "A person shall not enter the hull of the Titanic without permission from the Secretary of State." Has anyone in the Government seen the flaw in this plan? 1. It's physically impossible for a person to enter the hull of the Titanic. 2. Most people don't even know the exact location of the Titanic and 3. The Titanic is in international waters, so the UK government has no jurisdiction. Christ, I'm surprised that they're not enforcing the "Cabbies should keep a bale of hay in the back of their cabs" law.
