  1. Very much so. A good story. Drop me a line after New Year's Day.

  3. Definitely not.

Whilst they may have behaved badly I don't think that tackling them will
achieve anything. Maybe I just feel guilty around police but I'd push
to get my bike back and then forget all about it if I'm not out of
    pocket.

The last thing I'd want to be on the receiving end of is a vendetta with
    plod.

  6. Look, they (by all accounts) screwed up and must be held to account.
Ah, but we have people on here with advice on how to deal with that.
    Mick W. for a start!

  8. Tsk, tsk. You're forgetting the #1 rule of UKRM, which is that all
other posters exist to amuse me. So if Steve has a vendetta with the
    police, it's okay by me.

    Heh.

I have a friend who is an officer with Gwent police - there doesn't seem
to be much love lost between stations - especially when they're talking
about senior ranks - so I'm sure there isn't too much to worry about.

As an aside - are Inspectors ranked according to the size of station
they oversee? - only the Inspector at the main station was much more
helpful than the very hacked off sounding Inspector I spoke to this
morning. Wondered if he'd had a bit of a bollocking....

Don't think so.. but an inspector is a 2nd line manager really.. Maybe
you spoke ot a chief inspector.

    Here's all the ranks.

As I keep saying, coppers are pricks and life's too short. I wouldn't
    waste my energy on them.
