Well here we see another angle you could take.

I seem to remember you mentioning elsewhere, (might have even been in
this thread), that the initial, very helpful inspector you spoke to
muttered something about getting back in touch with him if you didn't
get any satisfaction from the inspector in charge of the team that
    raided your lock up?

If I'm right, give him a polite call asap and explain what's happened
(or not, as it were), since you last spoke, and rather than jump up
and down and getting all shouty, ask him for his take on it all - he
sounded suitably irritated by his colleagues when you initially spoke
    to him. :)

Other than that, the he of the stench of stale wee is almost certainly
right with regards to just how easy it is for a plod to make your life
difficult in the aftermath compared to days of yore... so, so long as
you play relatively nicely and without coming across as some howling
harridan baying for revenge, I doubt you'll get any repercussions in
return for digging a bit harder and, if necessary, making a bit more
noise in the public domain about all this.

Having read this and other posts emanating from the same direction
this evening... I'd say you were ever so slightly shitfaced. ;-)

  6. Didn't take much either. I hardly touch it these days and it's one
positive thing about it - dead cheap to get pissed.
Previous posting brought to you by half a litre of Livvy Mist
(Bailey's-alike) and a litre of Stella pisswater.

Is there any update to this? Apologies if so, I'm still catching up
    with news.

Have you decided life's too short to keep on with it? Was the bike OK?

    Not yet, no.

The recovery people can't get it back to me at the moment, so are
holding it until they're not over-run with trucks in ditches or stuck on
    hills.

Fine by me - we've pencilled in next Friday.
(Apologies to TOG about this, actually - after getting no response
initially, they got back to me and a guy called Steve Farrell has spoken
    to me)

    MCN are on the case...

Remember that your supercharged honda was parked next to it.
