Or even a house with a steep pitched roof and dormer bedrooms. Not
totally unlike a pyramid, but lacking its full symmetry.

What's "odd" about having a giant terrace next to your bedrooms?
I'd quite fancy one.

 

bedrooms on ground floor next to garage, day rooms upstairs with terrace on
garage roof. Even better if built into a hillside so you can walk from
terrace to garden.

If you want maximum solar capture that's what it looks like.

I looked at burying it but the cost of tanking was enormous , hence to
gap at the back and the 'drawbridge'.

As for TV, The 'Max Files' ( he called it an electronic cottage I think)
plus one of the modern design programs did a thing on the house.

 

But I had it built 20 years ago.

I got a kit from them delivered, and GALMI for
the fitting. Less professional, but somewhat cheaper
all round.
