    Tanks are bleeding expensive.

In other news, I'm looking at a parts bill that won't see much change
out of £700. Plus I'm doing all the work.

And a full bike isn't just a fairing either. They want a further 40 quid per
wheel and there's no mention of seat units or fuel tanks.

There's no fucking way a full bike can be painted for 150 quid. It'll cost
that much for primer paint and lacquer and that's cheap primer paint and
lacquer too. Maybe they just love working at home for free though, you never
    know.

Given they do paint jobs for trackbikes, I suspect the aim is to get
the colours on, and make it look passable, rather than good.

It'll be 2 coats of thick paint, no laquer, and out the door, turning
round several in a weekend, I'd bet.

Thats a point, we did a number of race cars back at the coachworks and
the customers never expected anything brilliant. They were always
    blown away by the result.

  9. Exactly so. Racing machines could make do with a brush paint [1] Dulux
job if Joe Spectator never gets near.

[1] Not to denigrate brush painting - some brush paint jobs are
    excellent.

No. I'm a different Gorman. Who gets to disappoint a lot of comedy
agents who were expecting the ugly bearded one.

  19. I only wondered at the co-incidence of names and the similar humour.
The Rockall Times was a classic.
