You mean, "that's not available at a fraction of the price"? Yes. My garmin, and my iPod, for starters - though nowadays, they are a factory fit. A quick browse through this ... http://wingstuff.com/cat_gl1800.php .... should give you an idea of the risk of annihilation my credit card is under.
I've not had a weathering problem with my cig lighter socket and I was charging the phone through some horrible rain in Germany, but my supposedly fully waterproofed Garmin mount is now fried to **** and irrepairable after water somehow got into it. -- Lozzo Versys 650 Inter-Continental Hyperbolistic Missile , CBR600F-W racebike in the making, TS250C, RD400F (somewhere) BMW E46 318iSE (it's a car, not one of those 2-wheeled pieces of shite they churn out)
Exactly what I did on the gixer. I originally had it up by the yoke but moved it under the seat hump because I could plug my phone in to charge and lock it back up again.
If I decided to hard wire another socket onto any bike it'd go under the seat for that very reason. The one on the Tenere is behind the headlight but that's only so I can charge stuff while it's in the tankbag.
fucking techno-Neanderthals the lot of you. http://uanews.org/node/34382 Expect to be powering your phone from the emissions from your armpit sometime next week.
