Indians? What, like Big-Chief-Writing-Code or someone?

We had a discussion about outsourcing the other day. The trend
is to now move everything to Poland as the Indians (of Her
Majesty's Imperial Raj variety) have now caught up in the
pay scale, so it's no longer cheaper to pay them. Of course,
the same will happen with the Poles within 5 years by
    which time it'll be China?

Yes! That's right! Lovely for the time of year.

Anyone got *any* fucking idea what these two are on about?

  5. They are all members of the group of languages called "Lowlands" .

Lowlands Scotts (Lallands, the language of Robbie Burns), Geordie,
English, Dutch, Frisian, Flemish, Low German, and the Scandinavian
languages are to a great extent mutually intelligible. The Oldest
words are mutually recogniseable as coming from the same root, the
newest words are mutually recogniseable on account of being exchanged
frequently in the media etc, but the words adopted when communication
between the different communities was much more difficult are not.

    Eg.

    English: Butcher [From the French}

    Dutch: Slager (Slaughterer),

    Flemish: Beenhouwer (Bonecutter)

The start of a little light reading for anybody as wants it :

Actually, Franconian is in part also quite close (having thrown some
porrigewogs and some Nuernbergers together in a room with lots of
    alcohol one evening)

for example any scot would understand "geh' mir ham"

Well, before I consider such a task you'd need to send me a photo of you in
a gimp mask & studded collar.
