Well, after exhausting my 3 month free LoveFilm trial a while back I
decided to sign up for another 2 month free trial with Tesco DVD
Rental which is a rebranded LoveFilm, but LoveFilm emailed me saying I
can't have it as I've had a LoveFilm Free Trial before.

So... as Boots, Amazon, Tesco, etc. are all rebranded LoveFilm then
who else is there worth looking at?

Blockbuster appears to do a service, is that rebranded LoveFilm?

Also: Blockbuster appears to only offer a 14 day free trial on their
    unlimited 2 discs at a time package @ £12.71/month

Any ideas, or any voucher codes for BlockBusters that might give me a
free month or two if a friend reccommends me or summut?

As per the rec I had on here, CinemaParadiso is working well for me.

I'm afraid I can't recall who it was who suggested and gave me the invite :(

Can you send me an invite? How long is the
    'invite' trial for?

  5. We went through this a year or so ago and have settled on Blockbuster -
it's not rebranded Lovefilm and you occasionally get BOGOF (well rent)
vouchers to use in the shops. We're on an old deal though - 3 unlimited
disks at a time for 12 quid.

    Sorry no vouchers.

Thanks, I've signed up with them, 14 day free trial + 4 DVDs. So I
assume I'll get 6 DVDs over the next few days.

They're not doing very well so far, they've sent two films which were
    16th & 17th in my priority list!

They don't prioritise your list, they just send the first available.

Personally I quite like that cos it takes the decision making out of the
    whole thing.

I wonder what the whole point of changing the priorities on the left
of the My Lists page is there for then.
Hrm, I'm not convinced. But I guess it's a free trial.

Fair point. I'd not even noticed it.

  14. It's a bit of both in our experience, we've had stuff at the top of the
list that took months to come through but we would have expected them
not to have many copies of (Four Rooms for example). We've found a neat
trick with Blockbuster and we've no idea why it works - if there's a new
film out that you really want to see, move it to the top of your list
the day before release, virtually guarantees it arrives.

If we want something urgently we just use one of the B(rent)OGOF
vouchers we get through and walk to the shop.

Oddly, Tesco/LoveFilm sent me an email last night saying they had sent 3
discs to me, even though they declined my trial membership on the
grounds that I'd already had one before. I bet they charges me even
though they said they would kill my membership if I didn't contact them
    in 3 days. Noobs.
