Dyno Jet - Change of can.

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by toad_oftoadhall, Sep 30, 2005.

  1. How problematic is it to permanantly put the original can back on a
bike after you've had it dynojetted with an aftermarket can.

Do you *need* to set up the carbs again or can you get away without?

Suck it and see - it'll only take five minutes to swap the can.
Depends on other mods, such as air filter(s), ignition advancer and
the like, but I'd wager it'll run like a bag of shite unless you
restore the original jets and needles.

  4. Already have. Runs fine. I'd prefer to remain legal and leave it that
way. I don't want top be melting my valves becuse it's too lean or
something like that. You can probably tell I know f**k all about dyno
jetting... Will suzuki just sell me the correct original jets and
    springs?

It will be running richer, especially at the top end. Suzukis
    generally run weak.

I'm sure a dealer will happily sell you the parts required to put it
back to stock - but it may be easier and better to stick it on a dyno
with an exhaust gas analyser up the pipe and see how it is; then leave
    it if it runs well.
