Figured you for a race fan, hence the mild surprise.

I like watching it, but not overly into the ins and outs of who's who,
who's won what championship and when etc, IYSWIM.

Oh it just *had* to be more than the Harley didn't it!!!?

    Why couldn't it be 62.3?

Well I was, but after doing big bore, high compression, gas flow, high
lift long duration cams, race ignition, hooj flatslide carb and free
flowing exhaust you still manage more than me from a flat twin with half
    the capacity.

I wish I'd not cheered you on at Snet now, you big power, low capacity
    vee twin bastard.

Trackdays seem to do that to me too - I could never put in a good time
for whatever reason and always seem to improve over practise,
    qualifying and the races too.

My best lap in qualifying at Donington was a 1:32 and that was on the
old engine at ~54 bhp. It's a shame it then pissed it down as Donington
is a horrid track in the wet and my times went up by 15 seconds a lap!
This is UKRM and I will defend my corner like a man possessed until
the end of time if needs be!

Nice sound effect. No wonder Harleys have homoerotic connotations.

Donington is *really* slippery in the wet - it's horrid. Once you're
used to it, it is great fun but not ideal for racing on!
BTW my 748 has twice the power, but I really couldn't care less.

I thought all you Harley boys carried a man-size tube of KY in one of
those little leather tool rolls slung over the sissy bar.

The KY roll is slung below the bottom yoke. Do you know nothing?
