E Mails with suspected viruses

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Paul Corfield, Nov 22, 2005.

  1. Is anyone else getting E Mails from a range of addresses which are 75KB
in size? I suspect someone may have an infected PC as some of the
addresses refer only to ukrmer's domains such as speedyspic.co.uk.

I haven't bothered to download one and Mailwasher shows no content as
    they are all HTML.

I completely wiped my hard discs and formatted before reinstalling
Windows XP Pro on Sunday. I doubt I've picked up any virus since then. I
have anti-virus software installed too, with all the very latest
    upgrades and updates.

I also haven't kept an address book for about 2 years, just to stop it
being infected and used to generate emails.

There were lots of fake invoice emails with a 75k virus infested zip file
caught by our email servers at work this week.
Probably the same virus , not that it helps you much
