  2. This is a perfect piece of news as Autumn approaches. My only concern
is about the style and speed of riding. I am on a 12 year old R1100RT
and 80 ish is top whack. Will I be a liability?

You will be if you don't find the next two gears when changing up
because that bike will do more than 80mph once you've found them.

You won't be alone if anyone brings a CBR600RR as it needs to cruise at
50 mph every seventy miles to find a petrol station.

  8. Oi! I've resembled that remark y'know.

I'm surprised no-one has mentioned snapped chains yet.

Motorway cruising at 80mph, mine has a near 200 mile tank range.

    Pip's, I believe, does not.

What is that in MPG then?

I have yet to see a bike over about 175cc in Davao though a couple of those
have been nice MX bikes. I'm assured they do exist and there is a club of

Normal traffic moves at 30mph so it isn't much of a problem. The roads are
fine, in respects better than UK in so much as no potholes (concrete
aggregate) but the 50 and 125cc sidecar outfits struggle to make better
progress.... and there are thousands of them. They slow down for corners, I
don't think sidecar setup is a science here.

I already want a FOAD Mitsubishi 4Cab with chrome rollover bars, bull bars
    and 6 spots.

Taxi fares are fantastic, 150 peso for ~10km. About 74 peso to a GBP here.
Fuel is 40P for unleaded and 30P for diesel / per litre.

Plenty of military and plod checks, M16's to the fore, but only looking for
Prawns. Speed checks and cameras appear to be absent.

As there are no signs you wouldn't know the limits anyway. If there are any.
The driving test consists of going to the appropriate office/PO and buying a
    licence ;o)
All driving looks like 10 UKRM's making rapid progress down a busy M1, with
passing on any side just fine by everyone.... and I fucking love it.

The main threat these days is the unmarked car or bike. The last four,
maybe five (if we ignore the hospital bed and the one with the cycle
path) times I've been tugged, going back to 2001, involved unmarked

Back when I had a B12, I had to stop halfway round a FOT to fill up.

Monz too, on his TL thou.

And Honda are the ones who get stick for their fuelling!
