They're only 'against them' because Labour are introducing them. The
Tory Party is built on distrust, greed and a need for social control.
If they'd been elected in 1997 and still been in power, the scheme would
    probably be already in place.

No, she's right, people don't want to wait that long for them, they want
to wait for ever for them.

I reckon she's just a lying bitch, which should come as no surprise to
    anyone.

"She added: "But I believe there is a demand, now, for cards - and as I go
round the country I regularly have people coming up to me and saying they
don't want to wait that long."

    Like ****, she does.

  12. <ID cards>

I carry an ID card here in Spain. In such a beaurocratic country it makes
my life a lot easier. You have to produce photo id for just about
anything. But they've just done away with the card for foreigners, so
when my card runs out in 2011, I'll have to carry my passport with me
    *everywhere*.

Fucking pain and I'm going to try and get something changed. I like my ID
    card.

Imagine how simple it would be and how much money HMG would save if the
ID scheme was scrapped and it was simply made mandatory to have a UK
    passport and to carry it.

Do you read the Sun, then?

Only, I've normally only felt compelled to just look at the pictures when
    I've looked at it.

Exactly, how many people would instantly recognise her, remember she's
the one responsible for these abortions of cards and go up to her?

And even if they did, I think most would chuck eggs or flour at her.
