My 900 has been unregistered since Oct 2000 and I just enquired
about getting it re-registered seeing as the rego and plates have long
since been cancelled. The num plate is still on the bike and is still on the
    system under my name.

All I have to do is rock up with a roadworthy, the cash and my licence
and it's back on the road. I was picturing having to jump through shitloads
of hoops with inspections and getting a new plate issued and all sorts of crap.

$420 to register though, bunch of thieves.

When I did the postie, I was expecting much more hassle too. Basically,
they checked the numbers, took my cash, and handed me the plates -
seeing as you needed an appointment, it all took around 20 minutes.
Yeah - $300 for the postie. Fuckers. To be fair, almost all of that
    was TAC insurance though.

I don't even need an appointment or inspection which I thought I would
being so long out of reg. I guess still being on the system they have all the
numbers and other info from my licence. Will take the numbers anyway.

    Volvo???

The 900 rego would be worth it at twice the price.
