The Wessex chair has been attracting plenty of interest but some of
    them are stupid beyond belief.

It's gone from the usual "how much to end the auction now?" onto the
"Will you ship to Greece?" and now I've had the "I'm not into paypal
but will pay the full amount on collection". **** off, pay a
deposit, pay the balance on collection and if you don't like my rules
then don't fucking bid on it.

It's a rare model, it's got no reserve, it's got over 50 people
watching and I'm supposed to be nice to people? I don't even care if
it doesn't sell so I'm not being polite to idiots.

Roll on Sunday when the auction ends.

I explicitly ask people not to; I find it intensely irritating.

As a seller, I find people make stupid offers. As a buyer, I find stuff
goes when I was prepared to bid extensively for it.
