Get an experienced traffic solicitor. I know one who is currently

My certainty over my speed was exactly why I requested the evidence, and
lack of provision of same was why I went to court.

See elsewhere - not disputing I was there, but disputing the reading they've
    come up with.

  3. You could I suppose get the car speedo verified now, if it is out then
best get it sorted before your Father cops for a ticket.
I reckon you'll be on a hiding to nothing, possibly worth having a
look at the various speeding sites to see what if anything you can do.
There were I believe some problems early on and cases were won on the
lack of calibration certificates. However, if it's the Police chances
are they'll be up to date and all OK. OTOH if it's trained monkeys
from the local council you may have a chance. Speak to lawyer if
    you've got one.

No photos with this... it says, just like shitehawks round here did when I
was actually guilty last year of 40 something in 40, the usual shit about
the image being there to record the plate, not the driver... and if I want
to see the original image, I need to make an appointment to view it in their
    offices.

Which is excellent, considering I'm in Canterbury, Kent, and they're in
    Worcester, Cuntsville.

It costs you more than that IIRC. In many cases they won't send the
photo/calibration certificate *until* you plead not guilty. At which point
you automatically lose the option of the fixed penalty fine and points. Even
if you look at the evidence, say "fair cop", and change your plea to guilty,
you're fucked for costs and potentially a bigger fine. Cunts.

Even if they did give a shit, the Government has us all so sewn up with
public order legislation etc., and other measures which are covered under
the 'anti-terrorism' acts now, it doesn't matter a **** to them.

Ahem... if you happen to know who this person is, could you get them to pass
on any tips in this respect, as in, you just ignore everything and they give
up, or do you do something else that puts them off the scent?

And this is what really gets me... (allegedly of course), if they'd seen me
on the bike at times in the past, they'd have had enough proven evidence to
tear my licence up for a few months at least. I drive within the legal
limit, plodding along in the old mans car, and I get *this* bollocks thrown
    at me! ;-)

    TIA

No chance of him getting that - the deal is, as always, if I borrow it, and
then something comes through, he sends it back with my details... which is
only right and fair, given he's been good enough to lend it to me in the
first place, and it's my shit, actually committed or otherwise, that needs
    to be resolved.

Just spoken to him - they've not had the courtesy to reply to his complaint
he never received the allegedly sent original NIP that he enclosed with the
returned 'final notice' filled in with my details, but they've managed to
    send an NIP to me.
Gonna concentrate on Pepipoo, as it seems one of the more coherent ones.

It doesn't seem to focus to well specifically on safety vans though.
It was a 'safety' van, so run by civilian monkeys.

As for a lawyer... they cost money - can't get legal aid for this sort of
thing, not sure if you ever could, tbh.

None as of yet - any idea what sort of money he charges?
Ok... sounds worth a try, given I am damn sure I wasn't speeding.

    Many thanks

  12. In south Wales you only get to see the photo's/evidence *if* you go to
    court.

Having taken legal advice I reckon subject to DYOR everyone should go
to court. Magistrates do not have a free hand to add on points. You
will prolly just get the three.

  13. Sorry, you misunderstand me. If it's genuinely under reading then best
find out and get it fixed.
Yep, a couple of the others seem to attract the loonies
That as ever is always the problem, it's often cheaper to plead guilty
rather than take the time and money to fight a case and it's only once
there's a chance of the licence going that folks will make the effort.

  14. I'd still work on the principal, at least for Ebay auctions that if
someone declines optional insurance they can take the risk of
recovering the money from the PO. It's often different with 'real'
mail order because the company offer only 1 shipping option so they
should offer a guaranteed one IYSWIM.

    Ignore it.

    They send another one.

    Ignore that too.

They might even send a third one.

After they get no reply to that, they give up.

It's only a bunch of civilians processing bits of paper. They don't
    give a ****.

This advice is worth exactly what you've paid for it.

  16. Not wrong at all. The PO or any courier company is acting as your
delivery agent and if the item doesn't arrive (excluding dishonest
buyers, scummy flatsharers, etc) it's your, the seller's, problem to
rectify it, either by refund, replacement or whatever. You are then free
to claim against the delivery agent for recompense.

It doesn't stop the PO being cunts over it, though mostly they are ok.
If some PO bod informed you differently, they are wrong.

This has been done to death over on uk.people.consumers.ebay

I wouldn't say he's talking bollocks. ISTM that he is extrapolating
from his own perfectly valid experiences with someone who was being an
    arse.
