Tonight, over dinner (which I had cooked and was rather nice), me and the boy are discussing bike stuff. I implied that next year I might consider outing the Zephyr for something moe sporting. I was expecting the usual "no fucking way" from the UK's newest biker babe, but no, instead a dialogue of what type of bike and why ensued. Yes, very odd... perhaps there's 'something going round'? When my old crate struggled to impress the local MoT testing station recently, Mrs L said if it was going to start costing me loadsamoney to keep on the road, best get a newer machine. My reaction was. "Okay, who are you and what have you done with my wife?!" Less than a fortnight later there as a shiny new (to me) 750 in the garage. Then she suggested a new crash hat for her birthday and that was followed in short order by a set of Akito cordura complete with armour, size 'M'. The last time she was on a bike was about 25 years ago! I'm not so sure this new situation is better though... *:s
Something in the water... T suggested recently that I flog (some of) the current fleet and buy something bigger and newer. The sell the fleet bit didn't surprise me, but the other bit knocked me back rather...
Gyp says... It's a female plot. I've tried to figure what the eventual outcome of all this is, but I'm at a loss. I think I'd better remain happily single with a garage load of bikes. -- Lozzo Triumph Daytona 955i SE Suzuki SV650 K3 Honda CBR600 F-W Yamaha SR250 SpazzTrakka Suzuki GSX-R750L
All will be revealed come Xmas morning. 'I told you to get a new bike, & all you buy me is a lousy iron?!?' or words to that effect. -- Krusty www.MuddyStuff.co.uk Off-Road Classifieds '02 MV Senna '03 Tiger 955i '96 Tiger '79 Fantic Hiro 250
You're spot on there. After explaining about some antics on the 9R, I got told I needed something that was "less like a comfy pair of slippers", which sounds like an excuse to buy the latest and greatest sprotsbike if I ever heard one. Not quite sure how that worked out, mind...
I think I'll stay married with a garage full of bikes. would be better if he didn't break them within days of me bringing them home though. -- Adie (replace spam with nickname to reply) UKRM FAQ: http://www.ukrm.net/faq/ keeper of the ukrm faq for my sins YZF-R1 : ZX9R E1 : GPz 750 turbo MRO#11 BOTAFOF#7 BOTAFOT#130 DIAABTCOD#17 MIB#24 YTC#16 BOB#15 ex-UKRMMA#22 BOMB#11
