    Folks,

I have always had kick started bikes and just recently invested in my first
electric start (Honda NX 650). I've had it now for a week and it no longer
starts (except using a push start-LOL). I have replaced the battery and
checked the fuses, is there anything else that might cause it not to start
that could be rememdied on a weekend at home with limited tools?

    Thanks in advance.

Check the solenoid and remove the starter and see if it spins up with some
    direct power.

Yes I have changed the fuses. It does nothing no clicks on the starter motor
at all, which is why I thought it may be somewhere else. It is probably the
starter motor, but with no experience just thought I would ask.

    Thanks in advance.

Just tried, bike will start by jumping from main feed to starter motor feed.
So would this indicate the switch? When pushing switch light dims as usual
as if power has been diverted.

Nah. Buy a brass dogtag and use it as a keyring ... to start
bike, short inoperative relay contacts with dogtag. Brass is
good, because it doesn't weld to the steel contacts (well, not
much, really, maybe a dogtag's worth in a year).

Warning: you know, explosions and electrical fires and stuff.
That'd be bad. Chicks dig scars, but not necessarily boiling
    acid spatter marks.
