Only half an hour. At least you didn't have to drop the back wheel out.

I'd be stuffed then, to do that I need to remove the rear fairing bits
to get the mudguard out of the way, because I can't get it high enoug to
drop the wheel out. And I can't do all that because 1 bolt needs
drilling out, and I can't be arsed.

The battery died on The Doctor's Micra this week, so you're not alone.

With a new in place, it might be worth looking at the state of the
charging system, to ensure it lasts longer than another four years?

Europe got to it, that or the week next to the sea in New Brighton.

    We share a son?

Jump leads, mobile compressor, air tools aplenty, airbrushes, airlines...
    the list goes on.

I gave up working out how much he's cost me in "borrowed" equipment a long
    time ago.

You'd think that when I hear "Daa-aad?" a light would go on, wouldn't you?

Depends how desperate you are, if you need the bike to go pick up a new
battery, its worth prying off the plastic cover that holds the rubber vent
caps and try topping up the cells.

No, I don't posses most of the below
I did however find one set hidden in the tyre well on the car while
    cleaning it today.

Which is probably a good place for it.

As longs as I remember that is where it is :)
Yer, but its your son, how can you not say yes ?

I'm lucky, mine now has his own house and lives 115 miles away :)

But daughter will be moving back in a couple of months :-(

One only remembers treasure in hiding places after it's been found.
That's the thing innit? You want to, but you can't, although I have
mentioned hire costs in the past, not that it's made one iota of difference.
Mine has his own house too *and* his own business, but I fear he'll always
be coming back here to "borrow" things. I've got stuff that *he* thinks
doesn't need doubling up so if he bought an item I have, it's wasted money.

I think he's probably a bit smarter than me :-(
I went through that myself (not your daughter, of course:) with the return
of the Prodigal, but he brought his wife with him. Thankfully it was only
until his house was being built/finished and he'd already flogged his
previous abode. I'd not want to do it again.

They leave, but they never "leave".
