I intend to. Work shouldn't be in the way, but I'd prefer doing it on
    the Pan to the VFR.

Has he said he's taking the wing? I assumed he'd be trying to blag
something more suitable between now and next January and then rely on
the idiots with sidecars to transport some of his requirements. He
might even want to go bitch in one of the chairs...
That's similar to my plan except I'm fitting a smaller back wheel and
    taking snow chains.
I prefer the theme from The Great Escape myself but you go your own
    way.

Never ridden a wing and am considerably smaller than SD. However...
I'm not convinced that a wing is the right tool for this job. It's
heavy and whilst the centre of gravity is (probably) low, if on a
snowy hill (turned to glass by a couple of hundred people leaving the
site and dropping mud into the snow..) the wing started to spin up the
rear wheel, going sideways as the rear tyre span up... it would be a
    sod to pick up.

I'm taking the K100 equipped with a chair... and a spare knobbly rear
    wheel 'just in case'.

Yee-ha, as they say in some parts of the colonies.

Maybe I should have said that anyone wanting to go should send an
email to elefantentreffen instead of nospam in my return address.
You'll then have to wait for acceptance but that's only a formality...

    I'd missed that bit.
I'm sure he'd fit in mine but I'm far from convinced that he'd fancy
the idea of being ballast when I'm on a mission.

I *think* the "fits outriggers to Wing" was a suggestion that he might
    be considering taking it.

I'm not sure what chairs are going; yours and mine but to be honest
mine's not that spacious, well not dodger sized. Happy to take some
    of his kit mind.

The position of being ballast in the mighty K combination has been
grabbed this afternoon but I've still got that Wessex chair that can
be fitted to a bike of your choice...

You've also been added to the mailing list using your idnet address as
has Mr Murray using his chateau.murray address.

Anyone on the list who wants removing should get it sorted because
it'll probably start getting busy with people wittering on about
ferries that the more advanced of us have already booked.

Hire a transit and transport it over in that. I'm sure there'll be
other lightweights willing to share the costs rather than do it
    properly...

It isn't. it'd be a pig on slippy stuff.

Mind you, it's been to Chimay, and that can get pretty glassy - ask
    Platy :)

    Aw, dagnabbit! :)
There's no way I'd try to pilot an outfit further than the end of my
    drive.
Righty-ho. I shall work on the social sectretary when we're in
    Furnace.

It fucking is - it's about the same level as the footrests.
Hark at Mr Wingding here. It pulls out of mud easy enough.

I can't be bothered digging to see if you've already posted this
    information: what was the problem?
