Haver you seen the new electric scooters that are now being sold? quite
a neat little package , you don't need a licence or rego to use on road,
local dealer sold one to an elderly gent, reason he wanted it , "because
the bastards at the RTA had cancelled my license, reckon i'm blind" the
gent said. off he went, satisfied with his purchase, still blind as a bat.

They are a big seller in Beijing. The whole city is pretty flat, and
they keep up with the flow of bicycle traffic quite well. They also
have lots of bicycles fitted with tiny little petrol motors.

They don't like hills much. I sometimes see an old chap on one
struggling up the cycle path in Smithfield Road. Not a really steep
hill, but he has to pedal it to get up the hill.

Is that the Shanghai Smithfield, or the Shenzhen one?
