I can't send emails. When I try I'm getting this message back from
    "System Administrator"

    <start>
Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

    Subject: test
    Sent: 31/03/2006 12:27

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

    '' on 31/03/2006 12:27
503 Valid RCPT TO <recipient> must precede DATA
    <end>

    Wtf is that all about?

"lozo" is spelt incorrectly, as a guess.

Nah, that's a wild address so it will accept anything to the speedyspic
address. It's also happening when I reply to emails from others.

The "RCPT TO" is the part where it looks for an email address
(destination) and it obviously needs the email addy, before it can send
the body of the email (DATA).

FYI, it works when I send email to you, through your mail server.

Try the following to see if it works (assuming you're using windows)

    Click Start then run
    Type "cmd"
    Hit enter
Type "telnet uk2mxarray4.uk2.net 25" (This is your email server)
    Hit enter
    Type "HELO speedyspic.co.uk"
    Hit enter
Type "MAIL FROM:<insert your email address here>"
    Hit enter
Type "RCPT TO:<insert your email address here>"
    Hit enter
    Type "DATA"
    Hit enter
    Type "Any old garbage"
Hit enterType "." (That's right, a full stop by itself)
    Hit enter
    Type "QUIT"
    Hit enter

Tell me what happens. This should work. If it does, then I think your
email program is playing silly buggers.

I just did this again but using the lozzo.org address as it's the
primary one. I got a lijne on the screen with a '550 could not find the
server' message, or summat like that.

That's probably correct, as lozzo.org doesn't exist (I've just tried
it). Did you add .uk to the end of the addy?

It looks like Phil was right. It appears that your ISP has screwed up.

OK, thanks muchly to yourself and Phil. I'll have to wait for Elly to
return from US though, cos she's the one who deals with the ISP and has
    all the passwords etc.

UK2 is Elly's domain host. The speedyspic domain is hosted by someone
else with a redirect to my lozzo.org.uk address. I have lozzo.org.uk on
Elly's account, if that makes any sense.
