But if they run the company into the ground and you're given your cards, you
might have a slightly different opinion.

Whilst I appreciate your position on your .sig, Dan - a man's right, and
all that: it is a bit fucking humungous, old boy. Whilst I've largely
given up the sigbunny thing and although I never subscribed to the "Four
lines is a .sig, anything more is a target" philosophy, yours is
extreme, in the same way as the "sigs" of the meowing trolls and that
    twat Henry.

It is a stand-out PITA to those of us using newsreaders with keyboard
control too - unless I want to reach for the mouse and use it to scroll
down through your .sig, it takes another three or four taps on the
spacebar to get rid of it. Now this may only seem a trifling thing and
it's not like you're banging out 1000 posts a week, but it means that I
have to read the fucking thing every fucking time one of your posts
comes up - as with every tap on the spacebar, I expect the next response
to come up ... but no, I'm still working my way through your flaming
    ..sig.

Apart from anything else, there's five lines of white space in there,
four interspersed to break it up, one trailing along like a dropped hem.
The "Coming soon to a patio near me" is irrelevant as the kawasaki (sic)
is in your possession, right? The past bikes thing is <ahem> a bit
passe, generally used as a tool by wankers who think they have something
to prove. The acronyms, well, they've been earned and have a place, but
again, they're historical and just about everybody else has binned them
in these days of stealth and minimalism.

I'm not trying to have a go (just for once) I'm just trying to point
out, politely, that you may be causing some readers some inconvenience
which you may not have considered. I leave it with you as a matter for
your pondering, and let your conscience deal with it.

Top tip: get to the sig, and hit N.

Or even - use N instead of the spacebar.

While you're here - what would I use to get backwards through read
posts? Agent uses backspace, but I've yet to find the Gravity
    equivalent.
