(I didn't mean the bit about it being hilarious. That was irony.)

    It's GSX1300*R*, if you don't mind!
Yes, I think that's true. Personally, I've found that I'm agreeing
with more liberal & "leftie" policies as I get older, but also with a
    fair few Tory ones.

My main "tory-ness" though, remains having small government.
It would be nice to see, I agree.
    5 years, innit?

Sounds suspiciously like a Lib-Dem philosophy. Which makes you a
    stinking Tory through and through!

Apparently so. I'd rather it was 4 years but I'll take what I can get.

Have there been any more rumours on the Tories offering a proportionally
elected upper house as part of the coalition deal?

    Stupid ****.
The jobless figures were released while the blind idiot was still (just)
holding on to No 10 by his fingernails.

It's bizarre the complexity of the Benefit system and bizarre that it pays
out to folk who don't need it, who are then taxed more to pay for it,
employing more civil servants to administer it all.

Geee I hope my ex wife isn't disadvantaged.

Heh. Or she could just check her facts rather than taking Brown's "the
Tories will scrap child tax credits" line at face value.

Maybe, just maybe, she earns > £50kpa. She just chooses to spend it
    fags, alcopops and velour tracksuits.

This post brought to you be Generalisations-R-Us.

I really, *really* doubt that! And if she does, & losing 500 quid a
year will ruin her life, she's got far bigger problems to worry about.
    You described her perfectly!

Israel have a veto by proxy, in case you hadn't noticed.

India could have had too, if Gandhi would've eaten his dinner.

I was going to say exactly the same as your last para there. France and
UK having seats are a remnant of times gone by. There's no need for them to
have a seat and it'd make more sense for Europe to have a seat. I'd also
add Indonesia to your list though.
