It's been common currency in my world (Trade Unions). Possibly, without
the investor part.

Perhaps one of the problems is the media have tended to report what they
want to see as the news, not what is actually being said.

 

HIGNFY was quite good last night with Chris Addison taking the piss out
of that posh MILF Express journalist.

On a couple of occasions he pulled her up on things, such as when she
commented about Clegg talking to both Brown & Cameron last week, as if
it reflected badly on him. CA retorted (paraphrasing) that "yes,
that's called negotiating - jeez, what do you journalists think he
should have done?"

 

He managed to get Hislop quite riled up at one point, about whether
Gordon Brown should have resigned earlier. It was a good episode, IMO,
more like it used to be.
