Oh yep OK - not really my neck of the woods, unless the route comes down
this way at all? No thought not.

    cheers anyway

You have a touring bike - why not do some miles? :)

    "Sports Touring" TYVM ;)

Well your start point is around an 1h 20m from home, plus the ride out,
plus the return..... and I have a lunch appointment on Sunday. At
    lunchtime.

I shall be using Sunday to properly familiarise myself with the bike and
see if the correct tyre pressures alleviate its feeling of
    "skittishness".

Not really mine either but I'll be there assuming Sarah and the
    weather let me.

Why not leave early and plot a decent route there and back? This was
my plan on the last FOT but as I left a bit late it ended up being a
140mph blast down the M40. Bloody glad I did it too as it made me
realise I needed a DB screen before we went to France.

  6. In uk.rec.motorcycles, Dan L amazed us all with this pearl of wisdom:
OK. Can you email us some directions or an address with a postcode if
possible please? At the moment it looks like a goer.
    You've got my number.

Can you give us a bell? I don't have my alarm set for tomorrow, see and
even though I'll wake up pretty close to 4, the ol' "don't have to go
in" thing will kick in and I'll be out like a light.

Not I - I have other plans that day.

Ask again once the new season starts - presumably the following week?

    wisdom:
I'm going to bed now so if you ring now I won't answer it.

I'll set my alarm for the morning and give you a ring about 8-9 tomorrow
morning to get directions and stuff.

    See ya.

The "less likely it'll rain and be cold" season.
Much like all 4 seasons in the UK, so you may have a point.
    Season?, What season?

Definitely not. FOT'ing in the closed season is unacceptable behaviour for
    a gentleman.

Anyhoo, you ordered your Gixxer yet?

Having just tried to text you I find I haven't got your number after all, so
I can't tell you it's Sunday not tomorrow, and you are prolly fast asleep by
    now.

Anyone else reading this drivel fancy texting WC or sending me his number.

    It's like herding cats.

  20. Actually I think he was. As none of darsy's bikes work at present / are
due for impending sale and he's dithering (again) about actually buying
a new one the only way there would a FOF was if darsy *had* actually
bought a functioning two wheeled machine.
Oh he is getting more subtle by the week.
