Subject to a test ride tomorrow, it appears to be sorted.

*Many* thanks to Loz for sorting me out with a replacement expansion
    tank.

Need to give it a bit of a run tomorrow to make sure it's all working
ok, if so, I shall attend.

How many people do you know who have a perfect ZX-9R expansion tank just
waiting there for a time like this?

None. I phoned enough loads of cunts in an attempt to find one. Then
mention in passing to you that I'm trying to find one and you've got
    one in the garage.

    Right.

It's you, this is *bound* to be amusing.

How did you break the old one?

    *splutter*

Just what do you mean by that?
Well, you see, there was a miscalculation, a moment of dizzyness, a
moment of fuckwittedness, and a moment of impact. Roughly in that order.

I[1] resulted in a broken fairing, radiator, and expansion tank.

[1] I was intending to put "It resulted..." and mistyped, but I think
    this is more accurate.

Oh. Sounds fairly prosaic by your high standards.

Any entertaining injuries result, at all? Sepsis? Gangrene?

    Fire?

    Explosion?

You see, you've set a standard, and your Adoring Public expect bigger
    and better.

That the trouble with APs, we're fickle bastards.

Ah, I see what you mean. I[1] was a very minor incident. Low speed, too.
Well, there was this green fluid all over the road.
    Yes please
    Go on then.
Right, I've only just fixed the 9R so I'm not going to crash that
*just* for your amusement, yet. I may crash unintentionally, but I
can't guarantee it[2], but there are two other bikes in the garage...
You are at that. But I love you anyway.

[1] See, I did it again. Looks about right though
    [2] Well, I can. But I can't give a time frame.

  17. In uk.rec.motorcycles, Dan L amazed us all with this pearl of wisdom:
Look, it's been a <thinks of a non rant thing to say> little trying at
work recently. I was, and am, shattered. TF I don't have to go in today
or Sunday is all I have to say on it and I wasn't in the mood for
    pleasantries ;)

I thought I had your number and I did try calling but I got some voice
recorded robot tart telling me you were unavailable and she'd (cleverly)
send a text message to you with my number on it so you'd know I rang.

I don't think I've got your email address either so if you can bung an
email my way I'll furnish you with the required numerical digits.

Heh. I've organised a jousting on shite old bikes tournament before -
part of an 'It's a medieval knockout thing' for a mate's wedding - top
    fun.

Matt has 14 years of crashing to be taken into consideration. Done
with enthusiasm and flair. And he wonders why I worry <sigh>
