English terminology telescopic fork

  1. A stepped shaft would be the proper way to describe it anyway, but I
suppose the ordering process has to cope with the engineeringly
    challenged.

  2. What do you mean, again? Is there something you're not telling us?
You've not gone off and got yourself redeemed while the rest of us were
out shopping or watching the telly?

I fort the whole redeeming thing was at the end of things, iyswim.

    Yes, and?

Using steering head race and steering head bearing interchangeably as
    you originally suggested is incorrect.

How would you ask in German? Is it Sie or du?

  5. I'm not sure I'll ever tire of a well-placed "it's only a transsexual".

I'm pretty sure the recipient of that particular jibe was more offended
at Darsy spelling it 'transexual', with only one 's'.

  7. Or the other way around, but yes, that was it. And I'm grinning as I
    type this.

which was fairly surreal, TBH, as /I/ had no idea there was a
perceived difference in meaning betwixt the two spellings.

What is the difference? One's a bloke who either wants or has had his
willy cut off, and the other's a bloke who's got his willy on/off and
his head wedged right up his arse?

Blimey, I knew the Swiss were pretty high-grade perverts but I find this
a little unsettling to be honest.

Thank you very much for your suggestions and explanations! I have
included them in my terminology collection. Should you ever need the
German translation for air springs, brake callipers, etc, let me know
    :)

    Greetings
