    Hi all.

I thought I'd share my experience with the motorcycle community and
warn you away from this dodgy business, Eurobrit Motorbikes, located
    in Greensborough Victoria.

I purchased the Eurobrit 749s race bike a few weeks ago - now I wish I
hadn't had anything to do with these bastards!!!!

The advert clearly showed all the features of the race bike and
    detailed the specifications,
when it was delivered at my doorstep I inspected the bike and noticed
that all the parts had been swapped out for inferior parts and most of
the parts were missing! Hell the bike didn't even start!!!!

Here is a list of items to cast your eyes over:

    1. Motorcycle does not run or function – no operation
    2. Does not start or kick over – no ignition
    3. Dash has no power
    4. Flat battery
    5. No oil in engine
    6. No fuel in tank
    7. Blown front fork seal
    8. Bike covered in dirt and grease
    9. Serious damage to main frame around headstock not outlined
    10. More damage to fairings than outlined
    11. Missing Carbon Fibre rear hugger
    12. Folding front brake lever replaced with inferior lever
    13. Folding clutch lever replaced with inferior lever
    14. Rear wheel swapped – not as advertised - replaced with inferior
    15. Front wheel swapped – not as advertised - replaced with inferior
    16. Front brake rotors swapped with wheel
    17. Rear brake rotor swapped with wheel
    18. Master Cylinders replaced with inferior
    19. Brake reservoir replaced with inferior
    20. Clutch reservoir replaced with inferior
    21. Water pump housing swapped – replaced with inferior product.
    22. Bolthead snapped off – pump housing to engine
    23. Missing hex head bolts to pump housing and one inferior bolt used
    24. Rear sprocket replaced with inferior
    25. Drive Chain replaced with inferior
    26. Rearset pegs not as described – LHSide only half a peg remaining

I sent the bike back the next morning and phoned them asking what the
    hell was going on?

There is no explanation for their actions, they are just bloody
    crooks!

They are refusing to give me a refund - this I am entitled to under
    govt. legislation.

So now I am having to go to court with these pricks to get my money
    back!!!!

    EUROBRIT - MORE LIKE EUROSHIT

As a fellow motorcycle enthusiast please support me by spreading the

  4. Other then those few minor small issues, all ok?

Eurobrit is the out-west Sydney Lebo type of rebuilding write offs and
alike, should have done your reasearch b4 buying

  9. Well as a 'hoon'...ie, one who goes a bit quicker than most when
presented with a windy road or a bit of racetrack - yet still manages to
proceed with courtesy to other road users and only disparages those who
ride outside their abilities or fail to get out of the way...

When I were a Lad I rode evil handling Harleys with nominal brakes,
wearing jeans - vest & open face helmet - And carved up many a
    'sportsbiker' toddling around the mountains

All this talk of 'safe riding practices' and 'hoons' smells of outrage
that some people go a bit quicker than some can manage - causing
embarrassment to the slower rider - or startling those not watching
their rear view mirrors when taking up all the road wobbling up a mountain

A dead 'hoon' is usually just just some poor sap that didn't wash off
    enough speed before turning in

This could apply equally to 'safety rider concerned about leaning too
far on a bit of gravel so I ran off the road into a tree' and 'panicked
sportsbiker gone into corner at a speed I consider too fast so I'm not
going to try 'cos I'll surely die - so I'll just run off the road'

Very rarely do people actually go too fast and kill themselves - most
crashing on corners is because they don't 'think' they can get around

And don't get me started on some 'mature' riders and their practices on
the road that demonstrate perfectly the concept of '1 years experience -
30 times over' as opposed to '30 yrs experience'

??? I <heart> Gerry. I am bloody gullible, but even I deraw the line at
inspecting a bike AFTER it's been delivered.

Timex never made watches, they made clocks.

Timex were different to other watch makers in that they used a clock
movement rather than a watch movement in their wrist-worn timepieces.
This is why they were cheap and didn't last very long, or keep good
    time.

    Theo
I had a Timex once, once was enough.

  18. That's drawing a fine line on pedantism Theo :)

Mind you, it did make me go and look up the difference. I think 99.99%
of the population would still class it as a watch if it is attached to
your body. And from what I could find on the net, that's how it is
    generally defined.

You have any references for different definitions? I'm intrigued
(being an anal person about correct time after years in live TV where
we ran rubidium time base correctors before framestores and the
interwebs could provide generic atomic servers).
