  1. You'd be sliced into 60 bits apparently.

You make a fatal mistake when you look for consistency and logic in
    the English language.

As it is the centre driven or top hand, why would it not be the first
hand? And it it still the second hand if you bought it new?

  6. Well, yeah that was my point. But I still am intrigued as to how that
    word came into being.

Nope. They made millions of watches too - & sold them in the UK with the
irritating but memorable 'Tickatick Timex' jingle.

I wanted to go... really I did.

But my skimpy leathers must have shrunk!

Timex never made watches, they made clocks.

Unfortunately you are wrong, almost as much as those that bought Timex
watches in the belief of the marketing campaign "Timex, takes a licking and
    keeps on ticking".

  12. It was, got me as well, and this guy didn't check the rest of the
    thread.

I think I owe Theo a couple of beers for throwing that one out. He had
me googling for 10 minutes trying to figure out whether there was
something I had missed in the past.

Actually no, I think the old bastard owes me a couple of beers for
    wasting my time :)

Better than I thought. It was only aimed at George. I certainly never
expected a Raven to be circling overhead.

Now's let's see. I owe you two beers and you owe me two beers. So we
need to drink four beers each, right?

    Theo
The neighbour and I are doing four brews at 9:30 this morning. That's
    92 litres.

  17. Bit hard to test ride a racebike mate. Or ride it home.

What a blatant pull through. He bought the bike unseen and with good
description and then unloaded. Signed for it and then afterwords decided
not to buy the bike. was so competent that he couldn't charge the battery
    and ride it. Probably scared.

He complained like little schoolboy. So rather than take the flack, we, at
Eurobrit, gave the winger his money back. Then he posts this message.
Can't seem to please the dickhead and frankly am past caring. If anyone
knows this dickhead can you pass on a Glasgow kiss for us as we frankly
think he is a waste of mammal breathing oxygen.
