Must be a VIC only thing then. Back of my VIC licence only has my month
and year of birth in very big numbers and a sticker which contains my
new address. The front shows R and CAR as the endorsements. I think
this changed when they went to the credit card style licence. Prior to
that, when it was a laminated card, it said "CAR BIKE" which I thought
was much more intuitive. Mind you my current licence was issued 7 years
old so they have probably changed the format again in the meantime.

Johno is still trying to adjust. His first few licence renewals were
issued on a carved stone tablet.

He's been saying for ages that the public service started going downhill
when they switched to papyrus and stopped whipping the scribes.

I can see his point about having to take a whip to some public servants
to get them to work...
