Got the CB pulled. It wasn't the control head, so the who thing's going off the Sierra for a checkup. Got the brakes and clutch bled. Got everything buttoned back up and ready to roll in under 2 hours (the Mighty-Vac was still good even after about 6 years of disuse). The bulk of the time was the R&R of the CB/Intercom. Hotfooted it over to Eurosport and made it before 1:30. Grabbed a dog and a coke and watched all sorts of racetrack shenanigans. Looked to see friends wave from the inside of the track but the cameras seemed determined to avoid those angles. Another FJR rider was there and we spent about a half hour in the parking lot afterwards before we took off our separate ways. Stopped by the Yamaha shop and found that you can't buy just one part of the tool kit. The pretzeled spark plug wrench needs replacing. It makes a lousy front axle wrench. The whole kit is about $50, so I took a pass on it. Mumbledy-mumlble mph up 121 n was not too bad with the rolling shekanes (aka cages) being spaced quite accommodatingly. -- Mark Johnson, Fort Worth, Texas; IBA #?; CM #1; DoD #2021 2003 FJR1300 "E²" http://www.bikes-n-spikes.org
